Goals

Weekly Goal Update for Week 44

1. Walk at least 500 miles this year (423 down and 77 to go)

We had beautiful fall weather this week in Alabama, so I really enjoyed being able to walk outside and soak up the sun while I can because our rainy/cold season is starting to begin. **While I love the holidays, trying to fit in walking 10 miles is a challenge when it is cold and rainy:(

2. Read at least two nonfiction books each month

I am heading to the library with a list of nonfiction books today, so hopefully a few will make it into my reading rotation this week. **I have been sucked into Charles Todd’s A Forgotten Place this week, so hopefully I can put it down long enough to get a little nonfiction reading done.

3. Eat low carb each day

I did this for all 7 days again!

4. Have two date nights each month

5. Have two family game nights each month

6. Try to buy nothing new this year

Nothing new was bought last week. *This has been a really good challenge for me this year. Besides the financial incentives, not buying brand new items has really helped me to kick consumerism out of my life and make sure I am focusing on what really matters which for me is God, family, and health….everything else can fall to the wayside:)

7. Have one no spend week each month

I think I will schedule this for later in the month, like maybe Thanksgiving week. We do not really shop a lot on Black Friday, so concentrating on family and friends seems like the perfect way to enjoy a spending fast.

8. Add six products to my Teachers pay Teachers store (4 out of 6 completed)

I am still chugging away on my study guide for Flying Creatures of the Fifth day and hope to finish up before the end of the month. **I have slowed down on writing this guide this week because I have been participating in NaNoWriMo and have become obsessed with trying to hit my daily word count…which is proving a little difficult (50,000 words by the end of November is crazy!)

9. $5 Weekly Challenge

This week Kroger had Post cereal on sale for $.99 a box, so I picked up five to add to my food bank stash. *I held off on taking my donations to the food bank for the past few months because our church runs a food drive in November each year and will be receiving my donations for September, October, and November.
