1. Birthday Freebies

I always am amazed at the variety of freebies that companies will send you for your birthday. For my birthday, I got a free Starbucks drink, a free burrito from Moe’s, and a large popcorn from AMC loaded onto my account. Free always tastes great!
2. Library books
My library has an amazing selection of e-books, but sadly most of the popular ones are almost always checked out. Luckily very few people read “real books” anymore, so I can almost always find the hard copy available if I am willing to visit the library in person. My library also sends out email notifications about upcoming due dates for books, so I avoided a late fee, by renewing our books online.
3. Complimentary goods/services
I had to take my car into the dealership to get a new battery this past week, so I made sure to take advantage of the free car wash they offer anytime we bring the car in. They also have a nice selection of free beverages and snacks available in the waiting area. Ben came along so he grabbed a snack too and took advantage of the free wifi:)
4. Walmart markdowns
My mom pointed out to me that Walmart has a lot of markdowns hidden amongst their shelves, so we went scouting them out. We found brownie mix for $.50, 1-lb mozzarella shreds for $1, box of 36 cheddar cheese sticks for $4, and specialty cheese sauce mix for $.75.
5. Krispy Kreme coupons
Our youth group cleaned our church’s pews this past weekend, so we rewarded everyone by treating them to doughnuts. Luckily my mom had a lot of buy one get one free coupons so the doughnuts were really affordable. **I sent all of the leftovers home with one student because I have no willpower around those blasted things….
