Goals

Goal Updates for Week 51

1. Walk at least 500 miles this year Accomplished!!

I finally made it over the 500 mile mark for the year…with one week to go. This happens to be my favorite goal each year. 500 miles always sounds like a lot at the beginning of the year, but if you tackle it little by little, it becomes a much more manageable goal.

2. Read two nonfiction or classic books each month (one left)

A Christmas Carol

I am still reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens because I have been rereading the Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare (for the third time) I hope to squeeze in one more classic before the New Year.

3. Have two family game nights every month (one left)

This past week, we played Long Cow and Bananagrams. We are looking forward to opening our new family game on Christmas Eve:)

4. Complete two home improvement or maintenance projects each month (one left)

demolition

This week, we cleaned out our laundry room and reorganized everything. I removed a laundry table that I never used for laundry (go figure) and replaced it with multi-tiered shelfing unit that was much more practical for our family. **My kids had a lot of fun dismantling the old table.

5. Take each of my children on an outing by themselves every month Accomplished

*Ben went out to breakfast, played the Nintendo Switch at Gamestop, and shopped at the thrift store.

*Emma went out for Thai food with my husband and then did a little Christmas shopping.

6. Finish editing and publish my NaNoWriMo novel Accomplished!!

7. Try two new recipes each month (one down and one to go)

I am planning on making some kind of Christmas goodie this week…maybe a candy of some sort??

Have a Merry Christmas!!
