1. Aldi Dark Chocolate
Yum, yum, yum. Did I mention yum? I found this gem at Aldi a few months ago and was very impressed with how creamy the dark chocolate was. I get the 85% one, but the others are of course delicious as well. I love to slather on two tablespoons of peanut butter when I need a treat (I call this my low carb Reese’s) Other times I just eat it with almonds and save about 5 carbs. A lot of time you get a grainy, bitter flavor in many dark chocolates, but this one is super creamy and rich. To make it even better, it only has six net carbs per bar. I also love that each bar is wrapped, so I am not tempted to break off bigger pieces than I need…it happens:)
2. Jasmine Green Tea
A few months ago, I lucked out and found this at my Kroger store. I was actually there to buy plain green tea, but since this was on sale, I decided to try it out. And it is amazing! I love that it is not grassy like so many green teas are and that there is a just hint of jasmine at the end of each sip. So if you like delicious teas, try this blend out.
3. The Great British Baking Show
I am probably the last person to find out about this fun show, but it is strangely addictive. I am up to Season 4 so far and they just keep getting better and better. I think I am a glutton for punishment however because I am like “Oh that looks delicious! Oh, but too bad I am on a low carb diet still.” Again and again. One day I am going to cave and go on a baking spree, but until then I will watch and absorb all of those delicious treats. **P.S. Paul is a total meanie.
4. Driver’s Education Class (Not taught by me!)
I love my daughter and we generally have a really great relationship, but for some reason I make her really, really, really nervous when she is practicing her driving (It could be possibly be due to the time that I yelled at her for almost hitting a light post or the time she almost drove into a ditch…Love you Emma!) But luckily for her (and me) I have an amazing mother and sister that have stepped up to the plate and have taken her driving multiple times over the past few weeks. According to Emma, my mom and sister are calm and do not gasp or yell at her when she makes a mistake instead they chuckle (they are saints apparently)
