1. Walk at least 500 miles this year (460 down and 40 to go)
This was my first week using the treadmill at the gym and I realized that I do not enjoy walking on the treadmill. (I think it is mostly that I am afraid the machine is going to malfunction and throw me off!!) To keep it interesting, I plan on walking the majority of my miles outside and save the treadmill for days that it is too cold and rainy. **Luckily this gym has a pool and offers water fitness classes, so maybe some of my miles will be taking place there as well.
2. Eat low carb everyday
I did this for all seven days
3. Read two nonfiction books each month
Not yet, but I will be compiling a list of possibilities soon.
4. Buy nothing new this year Suspended
I decided to suspend this in November and take it back up in January due to the holiday season.
5. Have two family game nights each month
This week we played Moustache Smash and had a tournament of Guess Who.
6. Have two date nights each month
Not yet.
7. Have one no spend week each month
Not yet
8. Add six new products to my Teachers pay Teachers store
I plan on typing the study guide this weekend and adding it (hopefully) to my store next weekend.
9. $5 Weekly Challenge
This week Aldi had their store brand of macaroni and cheese for just $.79 each so I picked up six boxes to add to my food bank stash. *These are the creamy cheese pouch variety, so no additional milk or butter is needed in the preparation. I think I will try to only buy this kind from now on because it requires less ingredients and is therefore cheaper for the person cooking it.
**Now is the perfect time to begin planning your New Year’s Goals for 2019. I personally have a few that I am really excited to add to my list for next year and a few that I am on the fence about. If you want to improve yourself and your life, I highly recommend making a list of things that you want to work on for the upcoming year. Having to report my progress (and failures) on my goals this past year really helped me to keep up my determination to complete them. So do some quick soul searching because January 1st is only 4 weeks away!
